HOW TO COOK IT?
Rib of Beef in Broth
Ingredients:
- 1.5-2 kg of ribeye
- 2 carrots, cut into large pieces
- 2 medium onions, cut into wedges
- 3 celery sticks, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- Coarse salt
- Water to taste
Method:

Preparation of the Beef Rib:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Wash the ribeye well under cold running water to remove any blood residue.
- Place the ribeye on a large baking tray.

Adding Vegetables and Spices:
- Arrange the carrots, onions, celery and garlic cloves around the ribeye in the roasting pan.
- Add the bay leaves, black peppercorns and coriander seeds over the meat and around the vegetables.

Adding Water:
- Pour enough water into the baking dish to cover about half of the ribeye. Make sure the vegetables are submerged in water.

Cooking:
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil, sealing it well around the edges to retain the steam during cooking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 3-4 hours, or until the ribeye is tender and flakes easily with a fork. During cooking, check occasionally and add water if necessary to prevent the broth from drying out too much.

Service:
- Once cooked, remove the pan from the oven and let the ribeye rest in the broth for a few minutes.
- Slice the brisket and serve hot with vegetables and broth as a delicious main course or as a base for soups or other broth-based dishes.
