HOW TO COOK IT?

Here is a recipe to prepare a delicious beef asado:

Beef Asado

Ingredients:

  • 1.5-2 kg of ribeye (cut for asado)
  • Coarse salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Chimichurri (Argentinian sauce, optional)

For the chimichurri:

  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon chopped red chilli (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Method:

  1. Meat preparation:
    • Preheat grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
    • Make shallow cuts on the surface of the ribeye and rub the meat with coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper on both sides. This will allow the seasoning to penetrate the meat and make it more succulent during cooking.
  2. Grilling the asado:
    • Place the ribeye on the hot grill and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes per side, or until it reaches the desired doneness. For rare cooking, the cooking time will be shorter, while for well done cooking it will be longer. Remember to turn the meat only once to achieve even grilling.
